Algemesí viu la festa de les escoles en valencià junt a milers de persones de la comarca

Algemesí ha viscut hui una trobada històrica en ser la primera vegada que un president de les Corts Valencianes assisteix a una festa d’escoles en valencià des que van nàixer fa 31 anys al poble de Benifaió. Muixeranguers de les dos associacions locals han donat la benvinguda a la Plaça Major als milers de participants que han desfilat pels carrers nés céntrics del municipi.
El president de les Corts Enric Morera ha destacat el fet que les institucions valencianes “estiguen per primera vegada al costat d’un poble”.
Per la seua part el president de la Coordinadora de Centres en Valencià de la Ribera, Joan Cortés, ha resaltat els 150 tallers instal.lats al centre del poble i les 40 actuacions d’esta trobada on ha reivindicat “la dignificació de l’ús social del valencià”. Una festa que Algemesí compartix amb altres 20 trobades “en un fil conductor, un País d’Escoles”.
Cortés ha agraït la “voluntat política de les instituciones per reclamar el requisit lingüístic”.
Mentre l’alcaldessa d’Algemesí, Marta Trezano, es mostrava satisfeta “per la resposta de tot un poble en esta destacable fita, en valencià i sempre en valencià”.
A la troba d’Algemesí han assistit junt a Enric Morera, el secretari autonòmic de Cultura Albert Girona, els diputats Joan Baldoví, Antoni Such i Mª Josep Ortega, el subsecreatari de la Vivenda Francesc Signes així com nombrosos alcaldes i regidors procedents de tota la comarca.
